An Advisory on the North Korean Cyber Threat

Are you using your home technology more, now that you are under a Stay at Home Order? Then you might find this advisory from The National Cyber Awareness System interesting and informative.

CISA is a government agency made up of branches from the U.S Departments of State, the Treasury, Homeland Security, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The U.S. Congress created The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to identify threats, share information and assist with incident response in defense of the nation’s critical infrastructure.

Basically, this alert is a history lesson on how the North Koreans are attacking our Internet systems in order to finance their cybercrime – to generate revenue for its weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missile programs.

These alerts can be quite technical, but you can determine if they apply to you and if so, what can you do about it.
