Florida Re-Opening Status

Florida has ordered bars to stop serving alcohol effective immediately.

The state’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation on Friday announced it was suspending on-premise consumption of alcohol at bars statewide. Bars will still be able to serve drinks in to-go containers.

Halsey Beshears, the department secretary, said the action was taken because of an increase in COVID-19 cases and noncompliance by some businesses. But the order only applies to bars – restaurants that happen to serve alcohol will be allowed to stay open.

The number of COVID-19 cases in Florida increased by another 6,093 on Tuesday, rising to a total of 152,434 cases. That means Florida has the fifth most cases in the U.S., ahead of Illinois.

Are you taking the same precautions you were taking in March? Are you aware of the “Herd Mentality”?

The state of Florida had over 8 thousand new Covid-19 cases today. IRC cases tripled in one day.

Use common sense! I don’t think the local, state, or federal government is looking out for your personal safety. Establish your own Covid-19 survival plan. In my opinion, the CDC is a reliable place to get information on how to take care of yourself and your family. The CDC does not believe your are expendable.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s state, which was the U.S. epicenter of the pandemic early on, is also requiring visitors and residents returning from from out of state to quarantine for 14 days effective Thursday, June 25. As of late June, the rule would apply to anyone coming from Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Washington Utah and Texas.

If you are planning a road trip outside the state of Florida, you should probably make sure the state(s) you are visiting will welcome you!
